Ballet, tap, jazz instructor

Inspire Dance Company is seeking a passionate, experienced Combo Dance Instructor to teach our foundational combo classes (Ballet/Tap/Jazz). These classes are the heart of our studio and often a dancer’s first experience in our community. The ideal candidate understands how critical these early years are — not only for technical development, but for building confidence, classroom culture, and long-term studio retention. About Inspire Dance Company Founded by Lauren Lombardi, Inspire Dance Company focuses on developing the whole dancer — supporting technique, physical health, mental wellness, and social-emotional growth. Our combo program builds strong technical foundations while nurturing a love of dance in a structured, positive environment. ⸻ Position Overview The Combo Instructor will teach ballet, tap, and jazz fundamentals to dancers ranging from beginner through intermediate levels. Classes serve multiple age groups and are curriculum-based. This position has the potential to include 2–6 classes per week, depending on experience, availability, and demonstrated classroom management skills. ⸻ Responsibilities • Teach ballet, tap, and jazz foundations with proper terminology and technique • Follow Inspire’s established curriculum and class structure • Maintain strong classroom management and clear expectations • Create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment • Communicate professionally with families when needed • Prepare choreography for recital performances • Collaborate with the Inspire faculty to support studio-wide growth ⸻ Qualifications • Minimum 2 years of dance teaching experience • Experience teaching children is required • Strong classroom management skills (non-negotiable) • Well-versed in foundational ballet, tap, and jazz technique • Ability to teach beginner through intermediate dancers • Organized, reliable, and professional • Passionate about developing young dancers beyond just steps ⸻ Ideal Candidate Our ideal instructor understands that combo classes are not “just beginner classes.” They are the foundation of our studio’s culture and growth.
